FAQs
What is our vision?
C3 Dunedin’s vision is to see our city become a city of God; where Dunedin looks more like heaven. Our prayer is “In Dunedin as it is in heaven”
What is our heart for people?
We want people to experience the love of God and the embrace of His people. Our heart is that people would connect with the ultimate source of love, Jesus.
To do this we put in front of people a pathway consisting of four steps in order to help them connect with Jesus and the church
A - Accept Jesus
Saying yes to Jesus, beginning your faith journey and making a decision to follow Christ. We encourage everyone to make this decision public through the ritual of Water Baptism (more info can be found in our “Connect with us” page
B - Belong to the church
We want our church to feel like a family that you can belong to. We encourage everyone to get involved in groups, Potluck dinners, and events beyond a Sunday service to help them belong to our community
C - Contribute to the church
Our church seeks to create space for all of its members to contribute and give in order for it to thrive. We encourage people to use their spiritual gifts to volunteer and serve in areas that best align with their passions and giftings. We also unapologetically invite people to give financially as taught in scripture
D - Disciple; become a disciple and a disciplemaker
Jesus taught us to go into the world and make disciples. Disciples are those who see Jesus not just as their saviour but their Lord, making a lifelong commitment to becoming an apprentice of Jesus.
What does C3 stand for?
Many years ago C3 churches were named Christian City Church. There were also many unofficial nicknames different C3 Churches had, such as CCC and Triple C. To avoid any confusion it was decided that the official name would be changed to “C3 Church”
